Charlene Donahoe is a dedicated mental health professional with advanced training and a client-centered approach. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), she brings extensive experience supporting individuals and families across a wide range of needs and backgrounds.
Charlene specializes in trauma-informed care, anxiety, depression, substance use, personal growth, and resilience-building. She incorporates evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and expressive arts interventions to help clients explore their experiences and develop lasting coping strategies.

Charlene’s journey in mental health began in residential services, where she supported adults in strengthening their independent living skills, emotional regulation, and community integration. Her experience providing crisis intervention, psychoeducation, and skills training laid the groundwork for her holistic approach to client care.
Her professional path continued with specialized training in substance use and co-occurring disorders during her time at Rosecrance, where she facilitated individual and group therapy sessions and developed comprehensive treatment plans. In her current role as a Master Level Clinician and In-Home Therapist in the ECPS Program for Foster Youth, Charlene collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver trauma-informed services that foster stability, emotional well-being, and self-advocacy for children and adolescents.

Charlene earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Argosy University, where she completed advanced studies in behavioral science. She later pursued her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Capella University, graduating cum laude with a focus on the neuroscience of trauma.
Beyond her clinical work, Charlene is passionate about promoting awareness and education around mental health and supporting the development of professionals entering the field. She takes pride in mentoring new clinicians and advocating for inclusive, accessible care for all populations.

Outside of her professional life, Charlene enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exploring new creative outlets, and staying active in her local community. She looks forward to continuing her journey of growth, learning, and meaningful connection with those she serves.
