Get to know Amber
​Amber brings warmth, compassion, and a deeply trauma-informed approach to her work with children, adolescents, adults, and families. She is a full-time Middle School Counselor and part-time Licensed Professional Counselor-In Training, dedicated to helping individuals build resilience, deepen connection, and heal through holistic, whole-person care.
Amber specializes in trauma therapy across the lifespan, with additional experience supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, addiction, and life transitions. She draws from a rich toolbox of play therapy, talk therapy, and person-centered techniques—tailoring her approach to meet the unique needs of each client. Whether working with a child learning to regulate emotions or an adult reclaiming their voice after trauma, Amber focuses on restoring safety, self-worth, and connection.
Amber holds a Master’s degree in Professional and School Counseling from Concordia University – Wisconsin and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. Her clinical training includes work with the Wisconsin Department of Juvenile Corrections, Pathfinders Youth Shelter in Milwaukee, and various public school districts. She has completed extensive professional development through the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, the Wisconsin School Counselor Association, and the National School Counselor Leadership Association. In addition to her clinical roles, Amber serves as a board member for a day program that supports adults with disabilities—reflecting her passion for advocacy and inclusion across all stages of life.
Outside the therapy room, you’ll find Amber kayaking, playing volleyball, traveling, and enjoying life with her beloved pitbulls, Gemma and Bonnie. A true foodie and lifelong learner, she brings energy, humor, and heart to everything she does.
